Thank you for your interest in research at UTMB! Taking part in research is one way to be part of tomorrow’s healthcare discoveries. UTMB is always looking for volunteers just like you so that our researchers can better understand how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases. Everyone is needed. Both healthy volunteers and people with health conditions can help us answer important questions that impact the health of our communities. Ready to start searching for a study to be involved with?

Participants will be randomized 1:1 to either the 2-dose group or the 3-dose group and asked to provide 4 blood samples over a period of 12 months. All 2-dose participants will be offered a 3rd dose after the final blood draw,12 months after their initial vaccination. Type: Interventional Start Date: Jan 2023 |

This study aims to assess the safety and clinical accuracy of the SIRA-1000, SIRA® RFA Electrosurgical Device in ablating margins post-lumpectomy in patients undergoing breast conserving surgery for breast cancer. Radiofrequency ablation, or RFA, uses radio waves to create heat, that in turn, causes deliberate controlled damage to the tissue surrounding where the tumor was located. You may hear your doctor refer to this as the 'margins'. Your doctor is using this treatment to help destroy remaining cancer cells in the margins around the site of the lump. The FLEX Registry will be implemented to operate as a large-scale, population based, prospective registry. All patients with stage I to III breast cancer who receive MammaPrint® and BluePrint testing on a primary breast tumor are eligible for entry into the FLEX Registry, which is intended to enable additional study arms at low incremental effort and cost. FLEX Registry will utilize an adaptive design, where additional targeted substudies and arms can be added after the initial study is opened. Type: Observational [Patient Registry] Start Date: Apr 2017 |

This is a mechanistic, controlled, open-label, single-site study to evaluate the effects of RG-RV16 inoculation on airway mucosal gene expression and airway remodeling in 25 healthy controls (HC), in 25 allergic rhinitis subjects (AR) with cat dander allergy, and in 25 allergic asthmatic subjects (AA) with cat dander allergy. Three groups (HC, AR, and AA) will undergo screening to establish clinical history, will undergo pulmonary function testing (spirometry), and will have blood drawn for clinical characterization (IgE, , ImmunoCAP, CBC and differential), and for assessing the presence of existing neutralizing antibody against RV16. Only those who meet criteria will be permitted to continue into the interventional and run-out phases of the study. Type: Interventional Start Date: Apr 2023 |
